Using your image on television without your consent?

If someone is filming a reality television show and is trying to bring you into it, if you do not sign and do not wish to be a part of it, is it correct you can sue them? -- there aren't any loopholes? If so, what kind of lawyer would you need and who would you sue? Aside from the person attempting the succession of your illegal image, would you sue the company the show is airing on, or the company who filmed the show? The producer? Also, what would be the proper grounds to sue on? How much would you estimate the cost of the case and the grant? MTV is the channel the show was aired on.
