What are the pros and cons about getting a bichon frise puppy?

I found a bichon on petfinder.com and I'm interested in adopting him. I can give it everything it needs like the right amount of exercise food, grooming, etc. I also live in an apartment. I plan on feeding him Wellness food because I've heard it's a good one! Oh and I called the shelter and they said they would put him on hold since I'm getting him next week. My parents also have the money for vet bills and other items for him. Thanks to all who answer(:
