Isn't it odd that the living Jesus was a fearless revolutionary & now he's the poster boy for civil obedience?

That's what happens when the Revolutionaries are finally in charge, their first order of business is to prevent anyone from doing to them what they did to the people they replaced. In Jesus day he and his followers were the outsiders, today the Christians are the establishment. As has been said before, "No sooner had Jesus cast down the Altar of Superstition than His followers put it up again in His Name". What else would you expect?
