Toothache? Do you need to wait for pain/infection to go away before visiting a dentist?

Most likely the longer he waits the more expensive it will be to repair the tooth---it may already be to the point of a root c --if not he needs to go ASAP to prevent this-- infection may need treatment to be able to do the work---but he will be given antibiotics by the dentist if needed--he may have an impactment at gum level---but i doubt it---he needs to go now!
