Breaking my lease where I live?

II live in Utah. I signed a lease (September 15, 2010) for one year (September 15, 2011) but I've received job offer in LA. I need to break my lease, and my lease doesn't state anything about "breaking the lease early" I've talked to a paralegal she said "Give them 30days written notice and you will be fine since there's nothing in here about you breaking the lease early, The landlord should have stated something in here about breaking lease and what penalties would be if any"
