She probably had more opportunities in her adult life each year than most people have in an entire lifetime. She didn't make the best use of it, it wouldn't have hurt her to have become frugal and live within her means, and I don't feel sorry for anyone who makes bad choices. I'll save my sympathy for the powerless people in this world.
