How to get a horse to jump properly?

Hi, my horse is 5 years old. He schools well but he doesn't jump that well. he rarely runs out, refuses, or knocks the jump down although, he doesn't tuck himself up properly. This makes me not be able to fold properly therefore both of us become unbalanced. What can I do to make him tuck himself up properly? Thanks :)
